Matthew and Kali
We met at Concordia University in Saint Paul Minnesota. After graduating Kali went off to China for two years teaching English and Matthew went to Seminary in Saint Louis. During this time our eyes were open to the possibilities of international work. We married at the end of Matthew’s year of vicarage in 2010 and moved to Saint Louis. In 2011 Matthew accepted his first call to Concordia Lutheran Church in Maplewood, MO where he served for 7 years. Kali blesses our family through service in the home. She leads home school for our children and generally keeps us all under control.
Laurel, Eleanor, Caroline, and Kermit
The kids a source of joy, excitement, and noise. They have been tremendous during our travels to and from Indonesia and we are always impressed. We homeschool in Indonesia Laurel enjoys learning about Greek myths and reading. Eleanor enjoys arts and craft time. Caroline enjoys learning with her sisters. Kermit enjoys learning how to use his arms, hands, and fingers.
